The more people we can get invloved the better. Everyone "knows someone" who "knows something" that could possibly help out what we're doing. The larger the network of people who know what we're doing the better.
To keep costs down we're looking for a couch, a backyard, a barn loft, anything that we can either crash on or set up our tent on. I have enough places to stay in the United States, but if you have a friend or family abroad an overseas contact would be fantastic!
The purpose of all this is to gather information and share it. The more I have the more I can share. Let me know places of places to go, places to avoid, roads to take, websites to visit, even books to read. Everything's appreciated. I already have people sending me documentaries, lending me books, hooking me up with a contacts that they have somewhere. Send me a message or post on the blog.
Let me interview you on your farm. My project is about good food and information. I'm looking for Organic Farmers who will let me be a fly in their ear asking about how they run their operation, what tools they uses, have they made any of their own tools, have they modified a tool in anyway, what problems do they have that haven't been solved yet, or something that think can be made more efficient. The informaiton and the permission to let me publish it would be invaluable to myself and the rest of the farming community.
Every dollar means the world to us. Kate and I are putting up a lot of our own money for this trip but even still the budget is tight. I'll spare you any sobs stories or begging, that would be awkward. Instead I ask that if you like our site, if you support what we are trying to do, if you have a few extra dollars, send them our way. They'll get put to good use and we will be incredibly grateful.
This is a new option I am adding, again per suggestion from a good friend. If you don't want to just give an arbitrary donation, you can put money towards equipment that we need to buy or have bought. This way when you read the blog and you hear that we used our camp stove, you can say, "I bought them that, they are able to eat tonight because of me." If you donate and would like to link your wbesite from this page I would be happy to, as long as the content is appropriate.
Note: You will not recieve the item, you are donating the money so we can buy it. I fee I should put this in here so no one tries to sue me because they payed for a bike and never got it. The equipment is for us to use on our trip around thw world.

If you want to sponsor one country, every country, a continent, you can. We have a Sponsorship Packagewhere you can sponsor our trip by country. It works on a one dollar per person, per mile basis. In exchange for your sponsorship we will feature you on our website for the duration of that country. The bigger the country, the more time you get!
Disclaimer:
For those worried that your money will go towards something other than the trip I assure you it will not. I have opened a separate bank account and paypal account specifically for Organic farming Tech. I also have a separate EIN Tax ID number for Organic Farming Tech. My personal accounts and the money for the trip couldn't be more separate. With the exception of course that I make my own deposits into the trip fund.
